Great Barrier Reef Diving .com is a scuba diving
information and booking service run by divers
for divers.
The site is managed by Rick and Bernie, who together have over
70 years scuba diving experience. Both are NAUI Instructors and Course Directors, and Rick is also a
PADI Dive Instructor. They have both lived and taught diving in Cairns and are familiar with most Great Barrier
Reef dive sites out from Cairns and Port Douglas. They can give you information about diving the reef
and can offer you the services of the best dive charter operators on the reef,
whether they be day trip vessels or liveaboards - where you stay overnight on the reef. Cairns, which is recognised as the "jump off point" to the reef has an International Airport and you can fly into it from almost anywhere in the world as well as depart to anywhere. If you intend diving out from Cairns where there are the most options for your trip to the reef, then flying directly into and out of Cairns makes good sense as you will save time by doing so. All airports in Australia have links to Cairns as well so if you have already booked your flights, don't panic, you will still get there. If you are looking for internal flights, check out the following: "Virgin Blue" & "Flight Centre" .
